Creators Club: Yoga and creativity

In a Creators Club comprised of my colleagues, I completed a short graphic memoir of a story about my experience of yoga and creativity.

The next cohort of the Creators Club has just published our online art show.

The Creators Club is a voluntary group of artists, who come together to complete a project in 12 weeks, with an online group art show at the end.

In the previous cohort, I created The Band, a short graphic memoir about my experience playing bass guitar in a rock band in high school.

For this project, I wanted to continue with the graphic memoir format, but focus on another topic. I’ve been practicing yoga regularly for about 12 years now, and daily for the last few. Through this daily yoga practice, I’ve felt a strong connection between the practice and my creative practice that I wanted to explore. So I created another short graphic memoir in comic form.

The finished project, along with process notes and sketches, can be seen below, and on the Creators Club exhibit site here.
